Be wary when the re-release reviews are either 1 star or 5 stars

Update:
1. I looked through a lot of the ALLI recent 5 star reviews and they have never reviewed any other item on Amazon, only Alli. Interesting.
2. It is NOT the same - Alli GSK admitted on their Facebook page that they changed their Orlistat supplier in 2012 (Orlistat is the active ingredient in Alli).
3. I opened 6 of the new Alli capsules and they are more than half empty.
Alli 2015 does not work again? Alli was initially released in 2007. Alli's main ingredient, Orlistat was originally manufactured by Roche Pharmaceuticals in Florence South Carolina, in 2007 this product was the best OTC weight loss product on the market. Alli has been removed from the US market on 2 separate occasions for lengthy time periods with claims of tampering. Following both re-releases of Alli, the product was ineffective, having lost all trace of it original potency. Alli is very expensive, which would not be an issue if the product was as effective as it's 2007 predecessor. I do know that the Alli supplier, GSK's plant in Cork Ireland, which manufactures the active ingredient Orlistat was sited by the FDA due to waste contamination of Orlistat in 2013. In my case I had significant side effects from 2013 Alli due to back pain. Since Alli discontinued the Roche Orlistat the product has never been the same. The last order I received, Feb 23 2015 had absolutely no treatment effects after 10 days of use. Anyone who had taken Alli from 2007 - 2011 completely understands what I am referring to. As an example I tested 2015 Alli, I took two 2015 Alli and had something called a Zinger Melt, fried chicken Zingers covered with cheese, salsa, and sour cream, with absolutely no effect at all after a week, zip, nothing. With 2007 Alli this would have been embarrassing within hours. With 2015 Alli I may have well as taken a sugar pill. The 2007 Alli worked as advertized, quote the FDA submission, "An increase in fecal fat is generally seen within 24-48 hours and diminishes in an equivalent timeframe after discontinuation of treatment."
This is no longer the case.
When the recent reviews from Feb to March of 2015 have mostly 1 star or 5 stars, but few middle range reviews you can bet their are a bunch of paid SEO reviews. It is a shame the reviews couldn't be categorized by release dates. In 2007 - 2011 this product would have rated a five, but the last 2 releases are a zero.
Post script:
2015 alli does not work and should be recalled again. The FDA should check alli for active ingredient Orlistat, because there is no Orlistat in their latest release.
How Orlistat works:
Orlistat works per meal ingestion, that is why Alli/Orlistat must be taken with the meal. The results are based on per meal digestive transit time. That is why GSK's submission to the FDA is specific, 24 - 48 hours. The only way Orlistat would take 2 weeks to work, is if a person took 2 weeks to digest a single fatty meal. It is science. It would be impossible for this medication to take 2 weeks to work. Alli aka Orlistat works per dose. If it isn't working, it isn't Orlistat.

Not very good

Alli just doesn’t work very well any more. It was great a few years ago but something seems to have changed. Ive switched over to Orlistol -Weight Loss Aid and Diet Pill Inhibits the Absorption of Carbs and Fats and so far it is quite superior, and a better price. If Alli doesn’t work for you anymore, try orlistol.

Should be discontinued again

I was happy to see this back on the market but after I started taking it I was extremely disappointed. Definitely not the same formula as before and did not see any results. I agree with the other serious reviewers on here and I hate that I paid so much for a product that does absolutely NOTHING. I’m now taking a garcinia product from naturabest.net and I have lost weight and my appetite has reduced considerably. I would recommend you to try it and get a product that actually works.
